3D Paper Purse Tutorial for Mother’s Day

Hi everyone! In my latest video tutorial, I’m back with another 3D paper project! This time it’s a paper purse for Mother’s Day (but could also be a great gift for other occasions such as birthdays, or as a party favor for showers, etc).

Click the image below to watch:

These mini purses are really cute and are pretty simple and quick to make! They are the perfect size to hold small gifts, candy, or things like nail polish!

Materials:

  • Card stock paper (thicker paper works much better for this) – I used gold foil paper from Michaels for the buckles to make them more realistic
  • Hot glue or other strong adhesive
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

3D Paper Tea Cup For Mother’s Day!

Hi everyone! I’ve been really loving three dimensional paper projects lately, and in this new tutorial, I’m back with another one – a paper tea cup for Mother’s day! (or any other occasion!) These are so cute and an especially fun gift for anyone who loves tea. In the video, I filled mine with tea packages but the tea cup could hold candy or small gifts also!

Click the image below to watch the video:

Materials:

  • Card stock (heavier weight paper should be used for this, it will make it much stronger)
  • Glue (I used a glue gun, but other adhesives such as Tacky glue or a glue stick should work)
  • Ribbon (works best if it’s 1/8″ width or thinner)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Paper Cross Gift Box Tutorial

Hi everyone! Easter is quickly approaching, and with that in mind, I thought I’d bring you another Easter gift box idea in this week’s video tutorial! This one is geared more toward those who would like to celebrate the holiday in a less secular, more Christ-centered way. These gift boxes/treat boxes are shaped like a cross and would also be a great gift for things like baptisms, blessings, first communions and confirmations, in addition to Easter!

Materials:

  • Card stock or other heavy paper – this project works best with paper that is not thin
  • A scoring tool, I use this one but you can also use a pen that no longer writes
  • Hot glue – use whatever adhesive you’d like, but hot glue works very well for this
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Tape
  • Printer

Patterns 1 & 2 require a small amount of assembly – just match up the As, Bs, and Cs and tape the edges together.

Last year’s Paper Heart Gift Box has been one of my most popular tutorials, so this year I’m back with another paper heart shaped box! This one is much easier and quicker to make, so if you didn’t feel the other one was right for you, this may be a better fit.

Materials:

  • Card stock or other paper that has some weight to it
  • Scoring tool or an old pen that doesn’t write
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Printer
  • Pencil

Interlocking Christmas Tree Paper Gift Box Tutorial

Christmas Tree Gift Box

In this week’s video tutorial, we’re creating a paper interlocking christmas tree gift box!

I’ve been seeing cool gift boxes with interlocking closures on Pinterest, and I came up the idea to make one with a Christmas tree!

Difficulty: Easy (but it takes a little practice to easily open and close the box)

Time needed: ~20 minutes

Materials:

  • Card stock or other paper with some thickness to it (you can make this with thinner paper, it just works much better with thicker paper)
  • Some sort of scoring tool, I use this one
  • Printer
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Hot glue (I always prefer hot glue for these kind of things because it holds strong and fast, but feel free to try other types of glue)

Difficulty: Easy

Time needed: ~30 minutes
