Cut Paper Mother’s Day Card

In this video tutorial,¬†create this cut paper Mother’s Day card!

This paper cut design is filled with flowers, hearts, leaves, and hummingbirds.

 
Difficulty: Intermediate

Time needed: ~1.5 hours

Materials:

  • card stock, or other paper that has some thickness
  • other paper to show through the design and for the card base
  • an X-acto knife
  • pencil
  • printer
  • glue or tape adhesive
  • scissors or paper cutter

Flowerpot Mother’s Day Card Tutorial

In this video tutorial, make a cute flower pot themed card for Mother’s Day!

This card is simple to make and it would work great as a craft for kids to make!

Difficulty: Easy

Time needed: ~30 minutes

Materials:

  • card stock or construction paper in your colors of choice
  • scissors
  • pencil
  • glue stick or other
  • marker or pen to draw details – I used a bronze Sharpie

Birdhouse Mother’s Day Card Tutorial + Free Coloring Page

In this tutorial, we’re creating this birdhouse themed Mother’s Day card!

 
This card was designed so the word “Mom” shows through the heart in the front of the birdhouse. This card is very easy to make, it just takes a little time to cut out and attach the pieces.

 

Time needed: ~45 minutes

Difficulty: Easy

Materials:

There are two ways you can choose to make this card. You can cut out and use the patterns as I did in the video, or you can just print the coloring page pattern and color it.

Pop-Up Butterfly Card

 

This week’s project is this pop-up butterfly card you can make for your mom or grandma for Mother’s Day!

 
Using the patterns, you’ll need to cut:

  • 2 wings
  • 5 flowers
  • 5 stars
  • 1 tag
  • 1 oval
  • 6 circles – just ignore that smaller circle, and the use the bigger one for all of them.

Butterfly Pop-up Patterns

 

I found that hot glue worked best for glueing the wings, body, and antennas of the butterfly. For everything else, I used white glue. All paper used in this video is from JoAnn craft store.
