Paper Heart Basket Tutorial

In this video tutorial, you’ll learn to create this heart shaped basket out of paper!

It is a bit more difficult than my other basket tutorial, but definitely still do-able! It is perfect as a Valentine’s Day gift or for other occasions that you want to show your love and appreciation for someone.

Time needed: ~1 hour

Difficulty: Intermediate

Materials:

  • paper (card stock or construction paper, or anything a bit heavier than regular paper, is best)
  • the glue of your choice (personally, I prefer hot glue for these kind of projects)
  • scisssors
  • paper cutter or ruler and pencil

*Note: If you can’t print, you can try drawing your own pattern. That said, this pattern has been made to be exactly the right size for the number of strips of paper.

This card was designed so the word “Mom” shows through the heart in the front of the birdhouse. This card is very easy to make, it just takes a little time to cut out and attach the pieces.

Time needed: ~45 minutes

Difficulty: Easy

Materials:

There are two ways you can choose to make this card. You can cut out and use the patterns as I did in the video, or you can just print the coloring page pattern and color it.

“Sweet” Valentine’s Day Card Tutorial + Free Coloring Page

This video tutorial shows how to create this “sweet” valentine card!

This heart-shaped sugar cookie inspired card for Valentine’s Day is complete with a “sweet” pun. This would be the perfect card for someone who loves to bake!

Here is the free pattern. As I mentioned in the video, in addition to cutting the pieces out like I did, you can use this as a coloring page and create the card that way. This would be a great card for kids to make! If you can, print it on white card stock or construction paper for best results:

“Sweet Land of Liberty” America Shirt Tutorial

The 4th of July is almost here! Here is a diy patriotic shirt that would be perfect for the occasion. This design was created by hand in Adobe Illustrator.

If you don’t have a cutting machine such as a Cricut or Silhouette, you can still make this! Towards the end of the video I go over a method for hand cutting this design using an Xacto knife. I’m sure a google search would also turn up other resources out there about this subject.

Here for the .PNG files:

I will post the .SVG file here for purchase as soon as it is posted. You definitely don’t need to buy it – but sometimes it is nice to have other files types and they are a bit more work to make.

Simple Paper Gingerbread House Tutorial

New video! Shows how to create a gingerbread house out of paper!

Real gingerbread houses can be a bit messy and hard to make. Paper greatly simplifies the process – and if safely stored, you can use the house year after year!

After the video was uploaded, I realized the clip showing how to put the house together accidentally  got deleted. To put together the house, fold back all the tabs, put glue on them, and glue the pieces together. If you have any questions, please comment below 🙂

Difficulty: Intermediate
