Paper Birthday Cake Slice Gift Box

In this week’s video tutorial, we’re creating this birthday cake slice box out of paper!

This box is so cute and is the perfect size to fill with treats, such as candy, or other small gifts.

Difficulty: Easy

Time needed: ~30 minutes

Materials:

  • card stock paper (this project works best with paper that has a little thickness) in multiple colors (I used cream colored paper for the cake part of the box, pink for the frosting, and pink sprinkle paper for the top and back)
  • paper straws (for the candles)
  • glue (I prefer hot glue for this because it holds fast and strong)
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • a tool to score with, I use this one

Halloween Paper Gingerbread House Tutorial

In this video tutorial, learn how to create this Halloween themed paper gingerbread house!

My paper gingerbread house tutorial got a really positive response, so I decided to make a Halloween version! This is a really fun project that can be customized with whatever supplies you’d like, and is great for kids, too! It is much easier (and less messy!) to make than a real gingerbread house. It would work great as a cute centerpiece for a table or anywhere else. Put some led tea lights in it and it glows!

Pumpkin dioramas are very popular again this year and they are so fun to make! You can really get creative with these. If you don’t want to do any carving (or minimal-carving), this is a great pumpkin decorating idea!

Golf Themed Pop-Up Card Tutorial

In this video tutorial, create a golf themed pop-up card!

This was created with Father’s Day in mind, but could of course be used for other occasions – just make a new cloud with your own message, instead of using the one that mentions Father’s Day.

Difficulty: Easy

Time needed: ~45 minutes

Materials:

  • card stock, construction paper, or other heavier weight paper in multiple colors
  • scissors
  • glue
  • pencil
  • thin string or cord
  • pen or marker

*I recommend using card stock or heavy weight paper for this card because it is a pop-up. Also, a glue stick or hot glue is best for this card – as you may have noticed, my card buckled because of the white glue.
